For over 20 years my practice has provided a safe, confidential and supportive space where people who are struggling can turn toward the difficulties in their lives. My many years of mindfulness training has cultivated and refined an embodied non-judgmental presence and the ability to listen deeply. This allows me to see and clearly reflect my client’s experience. I am mindful of the courage required to begin this process. Too often people cope through avoidance and distraction but in showing up for counselling they are choosing to face toward and constructively address their difficulties.
It is a privilege to support my clients in this process. In my consulting rooms you can be assured that
Research has consistently shown that the strength of the relationship is the best predictor on how valuable people find the counselling experience. I therefore always start with a single assessment session where we explore what has brought you to counselling and, more importantly, we get a sense of whether the relationship will work. On the basis of this session, we plan how best to proceed.
I offer online therapy for the convenience of those who for whatever reason would prefer to have their sessions in their own space.
